Churches honored for CROP Walk Efforts

Three MACC Member Churches honored on Friday, December 03, 2010, for raising money to fight hunger in town and throughout the world.

The Manchester Area Conference of Churches (MACC Charities)
presented the Gold Sneaker award to St. Mary's Episcopal Church, which raised the most money during the Manchester Crop (Communities Responding to Overcome Poverty ) Walk in October. A total of $15,000 was raised, twenty-five percent will stay in our community food pantry to fight local hunger. The Silver Sneaker goes to Center Congregational Church and the Bronze to South United Methodist Church. The awards ceremony was held at 11 a.m. at MACC Charities, 460 Main St.
